I just started writing again too! And, playing the piano :). A study at Princeton university used fmri and EEG to measure an individual telling a story to some listeners. The study's results showed that the storyteller was able to implant emotions into their readers and synchronize their brainwaves. Human connectedness through shared experience is what makes life so meaningful, and linguistics is such a limitless personal way to express our own unique perspective. What is more, the act of writing activates our reiticular activating system, which recruits our brains to pincrease the processesing the material for greater retention and insight. So, keep up it up :)
